The Coffee Pot Cam//Die legendäre Kaffeemaschine →
The legendary coffee pot from the coffee pot cam of Cambridge University, purchased and placed once again on a live feed, by the German newspaper the Spiegel. I’m not even sure I understand my own love for this camera.Ich liebe dich, Kaffeemaschine! :) The image refreshes on the minute.

Exam Rhythm
This last Friday, I spent the majority of my night writing about this painting. You doubtless would not need to know the year or title to guess who made it, as its by the famed artist of Abstract Expressionism himself, Jackson Pollock. The essay I wrote was the first essay exam I’ve written since last December (in English, at least)… so it was a little painful to eek it...

Goodbye:
As this post publishes, I’ll be on my way out of Trier. Many of the other Erasmus students I know are gone by this time, and it’s been surreal seeing many of them off at bus-stops and from the Hauptbahnhof. The more people who leave, the more it finally sets in. It’s the end of my time in Trier, and I feel as though I could stay forever- or maybe as though it was only yesterday I...

The sun is rising?
This is what happens when you spend time in the Kellerbar. You end up going to bed when the sun rises. But at least my time was well spent. (And yes, for those of you that don’t know much about my life here, my Studentwohnheim has a bar in in the basement.) I’m going to miss you, Trier! Why is it my last few weeks already?

Travels
I definitely abandoned my Tumblr. Perhaps now (during my study abroad) is the time to revive it. Perhaps I’ll make some of my following posts catch up posts. In the meantime, here’s my working travel log I wrote since leaving home: 16. März, 2011. Ankunft in Trier!  I was exhausted. The most uncomfortable and sleepless red-eye flight of my life, for sure. I had to stay the night in...

The First Impossible Shot
I love the impossible project. I used my Sun 660 camera (nothing too special, it’s been sitting in a closet since the 80’s) with the px 600 Silvershade film. I’m kindof in love. Why did I wait so long to get it? Maybe soon I can get my hands on the Colorshade…

Living a Bit More Minimal
Lately, I’ve felt as though I need to downsize some of my possessions. I tend to keep old things that are too worn to be nice anymore, or even just re-used in some way. I’ve had some shirts for years without realizing it… and the useless stuff piles up! So why do I keep all this? I’m sure a secondhand store would find some of my in-good-condition items to be of better...

the IMPOSSIBLE project
Yes! The time is nearing where (hopefully) the impossible project will soon be selling 600 series color film again :) I can’t wait to start buying some more, I have a Sun 660 Polaroid camera that wants some love. I started to use the old camera I found right before Polaroid decided to discontinue the film. How frustrating! It’s hard to believe that there isn’t a market for the...
